Michael P. "Mike" Johnston, 71, longtime Ellensburg resident and retired Daily Record reporter, passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at the Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee. He was born July 11, 1949, in Denver, Colorado, to Ezra Lee Johnson and Gertrude Broussard Johnson. Mike was born on December 28, 1978, in Effingham, IL, the son of Michael Lynn, Sr. and Cecelia Marie (Losh) Johnston.
